Bridal Tips
When ordering envelopes, please add an extra 10% for human error. Since each envelope is done in india ink by hand, mistakes are bound to occur. This extra 10% allows not only for this kind of mistake, but also the inevitable run-in to someone you forgot to invite who is expecting to come!
When doing your guest list for your calligrapher, please check and double check your addresses. Double check spelling of names, street addresses and zip codes. Remember that every part of the address is spelled out, no abbreviations. List the title of the person or couples' name in the first column, the name in the second column, the address in the third column, and in the fourth column list the way you want your inner envelope addressed as well as children's names and titles. Children should be listed from oldest to youngest. All people over 18 should get their own invitation even if they live at the parent's home. They should be addressed Mr., Miss, or Ms. Younger children can either be listed on the inner envelope by their first name or you could formally put their full name with Miss or Master. The parents only go on the first envelope.

I always recommend two great websites for brides. The first is www.anywho.com . This is an excellent site to look for addresses for anyone on your list. I use it all the time if I have a question on an address on the brides' address list. I have luckily found many mistakes before the envelope was officially addressed and mailed. Double checking your addresses saves you time and money!
Another great website for wedding etiquette is www.westchester-weddings.com . In the left column, scroll down to wedding etiquette. It is an excellent guide, very easy to understand.
